When the Corpach Pulpmill was being built, a large amount of soft surface peat was skimmed off to get a a suitable building base layer. This peat was dumped at an adjacent site at Annat. It was landscaped and planted with Scots pine. This man-made peatbog can be seen behind the natural self-seeding trees at the Annat industrial estate just outside Corpach. Thanks to Alex Pyper.
