Report No 69 - The Diesel Engined Landrover
Two files containing about 65 Head Quarters Mechanical Development Committee Reports from 1950 to 1958 were saved from destruction by Jim Christie former Forestry Commission HQ, Plant Engineer. Report No 69 is a short report on the attributed of the diesel landrover as against the petrol model. The newer model had some improved features over the older petrol one but the main attraction was the saving in fuel costs. The Direstor (England) was also impressed enough to advise that diesel models be considered for purchase in future.
