Report No 64 describes an endless chain type ditch cleaner that worked very well in the clay soils and coped with some roots and stones. It was designed for roadside ditch maintenance and as such it’s uses were limited to the edges of plantations rather than within. The Director (England) appeared to be very enthusiastic about this machines potential.
