Two files containing about 65 Head Quarters Mechanical Development Committee Reports from 1950 to 1958 were saved from destruction by Jim Christie former Forestry Commission HQ, Plant Engineer. Report No 50 describes a compact powered winch driven by the Danarm Fury Chain saw engine. The machine had a 1500 lb pull and weighed in at 77 lbs but could easily be reconverted back to a chain saw. The makers were J Clubley Armstrong Danarm Ltd of Abford House, Wilton Road, London.
