A rear view of the Muskeg cross country vehicle loaded with a specially made fire control unit consisting of a large water tank, petrol water pump, drums of foam concentrate and a selection of hoses and foam nozzles.

The driver of the Muskeg, George (Dod) MacLeman is seen here linking up one of the main hoses from the pump to the filling pipe on top of the water tank. Once the pump is started and the appropriate valves opened, the tank is quickly filled from a water source. The machine is on a training demonstration in South Strome Forest.
