William spent two years on a Forestry Commission apprentice scheme in Strathyre Forest living in the hostel with about 16 other young lads. Here William is draining in a fairly deep mucky forest drain and wearing water proof leggings to help keep his clothes reasonably clean and dry.

It looks like a natural birch wood which may be in the process of being planted up with conifers.
