Filling Boards Fetteresso Nursery circa 1954
The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and some are now shown on this web site.
A couple of young lads are filling lining out boards in Fetteresso nursery in behind a portable weather screen. It should be noted the screen was as much for the protection of the plants (to prevent them drying out) as for the workers!
Any information on location of the nursery and the people shown would be very welcome.

The slightest breeze would blow the small plants off the board before you could get the gate down on them making it even more frustrating if the board was full at the time.
