Inverliever Felling by chainsaw - Tommy Stewart
The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and some are now shown on this web site.
George records in his diary taking some photographs of felling, brashing and rafting in 1956 and this fits in with date on this one slide. The young man felling the tree has been identified by Duncan Macdougall, Inverinan as Tommy Stewart from Inverliever.
Can anyone identify the type of chainsaw being used?
