Danarm Power Saw circa 1954
The photograph is courtesy of the family of George Dey. George took many forestry photographs in his forestry career and some are now shown on this web site.
The location of this operation and the men operating the new saw are all unknown but thought to be in east Scotland but could well be else where.
The saw is a British made Danarm saw and model appears to be the Tornado which had a diaphragm carburettor and could cut while the saw was either upright or on its side.
Any information on saw, location and men would be very welcome.
