Part of Slattadale Forest, Wester Ross
Photograph courtesy of Jim McIntyre, Balbeggie.
Jim was in the light photography aircraft that was carrying out an aerial survey of Slattadale and other forests in October 1980.
Jim comments:
‘The photograph shows the west end of Slattadale forest. The lower areas were mainly planted in the 1960's and the A832 road to Gairloch can be seen top centre leaving the forest boundary. The large loch/dam beside the road is Loch Bad an Sgalaig, part of the local Kerrysdale hydro electric system.’
