This is an image of the dug snow track, six foot deep, dug to clear a fence at Drummie’s Hill (Drumdelgie). It was a very soul destroying job as any wind caused it all to be filled in again. It was often an occupational job in extreme weather when it was very difficult to get forest work for all the squad members
