Hand sheughing in of broadleaves to keep them moist and safe until they are sent out to the forests for planting. In the winter and early spring as long as the soil was moist they could be stored for several weeks by this method but were always better if delivered very soon after lifting.
Sandy Main is kneeling and writing out the identity and quantity labels as the unidentified nursery worker completes the job of covering the roots with soil.
