Newton Nursery 1936
Images courtesy of Alan Duncan, Nursery Manager, Newton Nursery from a small collection of around 20 6x4 inch glass negatives that are stored at the nursery office and date from 1936. The land for the nursery was purchased by the forestry Commission in 1931 and the nursery formed very shortly after.
Looking northwards from the eastern section of the nursery over some spruce seed beds and further on what could possibly be Noble fir, one of the fir species or Norway spruce in transplant lines.
