Newton Nursery 1936
Images courtesy of Alan Duncan, Nursery Manager, Newton Nursery from a small collection of around 20 6x4 inch glass negatives that are stored at the nursery office and date from 1936. The land for the nursery was purchased by the forestry Commission in 1931 and the nursery formed very shortly after.
Newton nursery east of the Burghead Road looking over larch transplant beds and down to seed beds towards the northern boundary. Beyond the power lines is a well filled stack yard of possibly Rosehaugh farm.
