Newton Nursery 1936
Images courtesy of Alan Duncan, Nursery Manager, Newton Nursery from a small collection of around 20 6x4 inch glass negatives that are stored at the nursery office and date from 1936. The land for the nursery was purchased by the forestry Commission in 1931 and the nursery formed very shortly after.
A view from the west side of the nursery over transplant beds and shed towards the private buildings in among the trees near the junction of the Burghead Road and the A96.
The eastern section of the nursery can just be seen through the trees.
