Ian Fraser leaves for work
Ian Fraser ready for work outside his ‘steel’ home at Badaguish, late 1940s. Ian moved to Glenmore in 1937 when his father Jakey got the job as head forester. He has vivid memories of life in Glenmore before and during the war. He joined the Navy, but returned to Glenmore as trapper in 1947, when he brought his new bride, Elsie. Elsie came from Manchester and had been a land girl in England during the war. She was fond of Glenmore and the people who lived their, but they moved away after a couple of years.
Thanks to Ian and Elsie Fraser
