RLR trailing plough

RLR trailing plough on an unknown site and unknown year. This plough was first developed in the late 1930s and early1940s to plough dry heath and grass land for tree planting.
As R L Robinson, the FC Chairman at that time, was a keen supporter of the plough it acquired his initials and was used with several modifications until the mid 1950s. The RLR plough is said to have had an excellent mould board but that the frame was prone to breakage and as it did not lift mechanically, was cumbersome to handle in short runs.
