Tine plough head

A single furrow Tine head on a plough beam mounted directly on the back of a tractor. Difficult to say but this looks like the ordinary time head which ploughed down to a normal depth of 45cms but the tine sock reached as far as 60cms. This photograph shows the land side of the plough head with the mould board hidden on the far side.
The extra 15cms depth that the tine sock reaches can clearly be seen where its main purpose was to break up compacted soils and iron pans which would otherwise impede tree rooting depth.
