Hand loading Scots pine thinnings on to an ERF lorry. Location and men are unknown.

This is and ideal situation for loading, no doubt selected for the purpose where the felled timber has been dragged to a high section of the road banking. Note the heavy wedge axe with short shaft driven into a tree stump and also what looks like a chain saw sitting on the logs to the right hand side. Image is not clear enough to see the detail but the machine appears to be a silver green colour? The small diameter ends of the trees stems are being cut off before loading.

Any observations or pointers to the year, the lorry and saw type welcome.
