Roy Douglas a contractor servicing a timber harvester head in Fetteresso Forest with Dave Garrow, Harvesting Forester, Kincardine Forest District standing in the back ground. Roy operated a harvesting machine that was purchased by Forest Enterprise Mechanical Engineering Services (MES) as trial to see if the concept would work whereby MES was on contract to Kincardine Forest District to cut and extract timber for agreed prices.
MES normally just provided the machines only on an hourly charge basis and also serviced and repaired the machines.
