Photograph courtesy of Don MacLeman shows his father Alex MacLeman (middle front row with jacket) with a forestry team.
The year is thought to be about 1940 (or late 1930s) at Inchbae Forest near Garve where Alex was forester prior to being transferred to South Strome Forest circa 1946.

The names of the forestry team are not known or what work they were carrying out as no tools are shown. It is possible that the men are working on an area of scattered Scots pine trees which has been inter-ploughed with a forestry plough for tree planting. Note that in this photograph some members of the same team are again featured and the previous photograph.

Alex MacLeman’s jacket appears as though it could be one of the early forester’s jacket with coloured collar but no crowns. Any views?
Any information on people’s names and location would be warmly welcomed.
