MV Lidar at Aberdeen Harbour with peeled Estonian Logs – Feb 1994
The images are from photographic slides courtesy of Abbie Gordon, Banchory. As part of his duties in Grampian Conservancy, Abbie was responsible for checking docks for any situations that could facilitate the introduction of new harmful insects into this country. Hence the reason why all the imported round logs were peeled to prevent introductions of bark beetles and other insects.
