Benmore Forestry Students relaxing on riverside in 1949
Images are courtesy of Colin Lawson son of Wilfred Lawson who was a forester who trained at Benmore Forester Training School 1948-1950 following a year plus at Glenbranter Forest as a trainee worker based in the camp.
The location is not identified but could be up Glen Masson or up towards Lock Eck – any suggestions and identification of the site would be welcome. Some of the students have been named and could be a mix of first and second year students.
The two named students watching the piper D Robertson are from the left:
D Wilkinson (towel in hand)
Alexander (Sandy) Nicolson (seated) facing the camera.
Can others be named?
