Benmore Forestry students at Parkend - Dean Forester Training School
The photograph is courtesy of Jim Millar, Banbury, who attended Benmore from 1952 – 1954.
Jim comments that the Benmore Forestry students in the photograph attended the Dean Forester Training School from Jan – Mar 1954 on the traditional exchange course system that was in place. All the second year students from each forester training school were divided up and sent to other forester training schools to give them forestry experience in other parts of GB. Benmore students usually were sent to Dean as here, Thetford or Gwydr in north Wales.
