Autumn colours in Glen Affric
The photograph was taken by the late Finlay MacRae who was a District Officer in the Forestry Commission based in Dingwall at this time. The images are courtesy of his daughter Donna.
The image taken in 1989 shows the brightly autumn coloured birch in among the Scots pine and again just above the water line young Scots pine are regenerating quite strongly on the heather knoll.
