Lea MacNally drumming up at Culachy
The photograph was taken by the late Finlay MacRae who was a District Officer in the Forestry Commission based in Lochaber at the time. The images are courtesy of his daughter Donna.
Another striking portrait of Lea MacNally this time brewing up tea out on the hill. He has carefully selected a green grass patch on which to build the fire and used mainly old heather stalks as fuel. There would be enough burning time to heat the billies or drums and warm the fingers before a welcome hot brew.
