Planting of native Scots pine around the Queen’s Forest stone in Glenmore
The photograph was taken by the late Finlay MacRae who was a District Officer in the Forestry Commission based in Dingwall at the time. The images are courtesy of his daughter Donna.
Following the unveiling of the newly inserted plaque to mark the occasion of the royal wedding of Charles and Diana on the Queen’s Stone, the group are planting native Scots pine around the memorial.
The man in the kilt is Col Grant (Rothiemurchus), behind him is Alastair Macleod (Head Forester – Glenmore) and last on right is Bob Cathie (Conservator North Scotland).
