‘Cheers Donald’ - ‘Cheers Willie’ – Black Isle 1978
The photograph was taken by the late Finlay MacRae who was a District Officer in the Forestry Commission based in Dingwall at the time. The images are courtesy of his daughter Donna.
No information other than the title ‘Cheers Donald’- ‘Cheers Willie’ but the forester on the right is Donald Beaton who in later years was District Forester up in Dornoch Forest Disitrict. Can anyone name the other man with forename of Willie?
Might this be a joint visit with Finlay to the Black Isle forests about Christmas or New Year and a wee dram to celebrate the season or to warm the soul on a chilly winter’s day?
