Slasher Magazine Summary: Publication No. 183 - April 1963 (Wrongly headed as 1964)
The digitisation of the Slasher was undertaken by, and images courtesy of, the Forest Research Knowledge and Information Management staff based at both the Northern Research Station in Roslin, Scotland and Alice Holt in Surrey, where the original copies are currently located.

Honours Ceremony
Forester Mr R. Bultitude was decorated by the Lord Lieutenant of Devonshire, Lord Roborough, with the British Empire Medal. Attending the ceremony were Mr J.R. Thom (Director for England), Mr C.A. Connell (Conservator South West England) and his local officers, forest workers from Dartmoor and Fernworthy beats, all tenants of Bellever village and residents from nearby Postbridge. The ceremony took place in one of the forest buildings in Bellever. Later the Lord Lieutenant joined the party for tea in a nearby hostelry.
Anecdotes
Mr E.A. Crofte (Cartographical Draughtsman, York) gives some amusing anecdotes and suggests readers supply more.
Chrysanthemums
Mr F. Morse (Dean Foreman Carpenter), continues to win prizes exhibiting his Chrysanthemums.
A Lament
Mr R. J. Jennings (Head Forester at The Dean) considers the disappearing countryside with his lament “How It Looks To Me”.
Congratulations: H.S.A. Service
Miss O.A. Harman (Alice Holt Lodge) received a certificate for ten years' service with the H.S.A.
Obituary
Mr H.S. Hanson (District Officer and Commission’s Entomologist), who joined in 1941 and retired in 1950 has died aged 77 years.
