The image was provided by Alan Stevenson and formed part of a paper written by Alan Stevenson and Alan Mackay in 1991 titled Forestry in the Highland Region. The paper is available on Forestry Memories Picture No 5720
The famous view taken from near the public road over the Struie overlooks the firth and up into the Kyle of Sutherland with the bridge crossing at Bonar Bridge. Part of Ardross Forest is seen on the left and across the water some of the Skibo Estate forest areas.
