Glacial meltwater channels in Strath Rory part of Ardross Forest circa 1985
The image was provided by Alan Stevenson and formed part of a paper written by Alan Stevenson and Alan Mackay in 1991 titled Forestry in the Highland Region.
The image shows that some areas of the geological feature were left unplanted. Much of the ploughing was carried out by Ian Sprunt whose home forest was Ardross.
