Lossie Forest map last dated as 1966
This map image was part of a collection passed to Forestry Memories from a storage shed in Newton Nursery used by Forest Research. The map shows the compartment numbering and areas for the forest any would appear to be an early forest map from the 1950s used by forest research to locate the forest research plots in compartment No 37.
The actual forest boundaries are not clearly delineated but note the foresters house located close to Compartment 1 and north of the Innes Canal.
