Untitled photographs mounted informally on the inside wall of a management shed in Newton Nursery. No details but appears to show the bird on a felled harvesting site confronting a vehicle.

There are stories from around Scotland of these rogue territorial birds taking on all comers and vehicles during the breeding season. One theory put forward being that the narrow genetic base of the reintroduced birds (19th century) caused a few of the birds to take on these characteristics.

Do you have any recollection of seeing any of this particular bird in the forest or have other stories of their challenging exploits?
