Mark Anderrson's uneven aged forestry plots at Glentress and Faskally
The image is courtesy of Esmond Harris who was an instructor at Benmore and Faskally Forester training schools in the periods 1952 -53 and 1954-1960 respectively. He has written up some detail on Prof Mark Anderson’s ‘uneven aged forest’ plots.
Esmond goes on to say:
‘Attached is the note on Professor Mark Anderson and his uneven aged
forestry at Glentress and Faskally. Both experiments are still running.
I visited Faskally a few years ago with the then District Manager, Charlie Taylor, who takes an active interest in the scheme.
