Timber scribe and axe sharpening stone
The photograph was kindly provided by Tam Annderson, Perth, who says:
‘Two tools I used when I worked on Dunecht - a sharpening stone for keeping my axe in good working order and the other one is a tool to mark the timber before cross-cutting. The term we used was mark it with a “craws fit” or in English crows foot’.
