Betty Kirkland’s photo of Mensuration was taken at Alice Holt in the late 1940s or early 1950s. Identified in the photo are Fred Hummel, John Christie, Bob Walters and Gilbert Jackman.

Les Howe who started his career at Lynford Hall in 1950 and retired in 1983 after taking over Shipbourne Forest, tells of his love of music and his life as a keyboard kapellmeister.
