Sandy Rose with the model forest nursery at the Royal Highland Show
The images are courtesy of Michael Lawrence of Bankfoot whose grandfather, Sandy Rose, was Forester and Head Forester at Ledmore Forest Nursery from 1950 (when land was acquired) until his retirement in 1969.
Sandy in the plus fours attire is answering queries and explaining details to the passing onlookers. It is difficult to see but there is an impression that the public have access to a walkway down the middle of the nursery display or there may have been other forestry items at one side.
There is no date on this image and is estimated at around 1955. The location of the Show is also unknown. Any suggestions would be welcome.
