Heavy snow fall in Ledmore Nursery

The images are courtesy of Michael Lawrence of Bankfoot whose grandfather, Sandy Rose, was Forester and Head Forester at Ledmore Forest Nursery from 1950 (when land was acquired) until his retirement in 1969.

No information on the year but there was some heavy snow falls in the mid 1950s and in 1963. The latter year also being noted for severe frosts from January to March which held up ground work until well into April.

Note the nursery office and sheds behind.
