Information from a P&J newspaper cutting was handed to me by Charlie Smith (Ordbrae, Huntly)which showed the above photograph which had been submitted to the paper by L Sim (Louis Sim?)of Kemnay.

The caption read 'Felling the hangman's tree at Enzean, Monymusk, in 1947. Pictured from the left are Bill Barr and his sons Bill jun and Sandy, and Harry Summerville. Photograph submitted by L Sim of Kemnay who was present when the picture was taken' (Almost certainly the Barr surname should be Burr).
