Working on the transplant lines and beds in Ledmore Nursery
The images are courtesy of Michael Lawrence of Bankfoot whose grandfather, Sandy Rose, was Forester and Head Forester at Ledmore Forest Nursery from 1950 (when land was acquired) until his retirement in 1969.
This is the fourth of four small images, again with no details. The worker team slowly covering the acres of ground as they make their way on hands and knees up the rows of trees removing the remaining weeds after some inter-row cultivation.
At least it looks to be a warmish day as this was very cold work in low temperatures. Here the pine trees are in five row beds.
Any comments very welcome.
