Lifting rooted Christmas trees at Ledmore Forest Nursery
The images are courtesy of Michael Lawrence of Bankfoot whose grandfather, Sandy Rose, was Forester and Head Forester at Ledmore Forest Nursery from 1950 (when land was acquired) until his retirement in 1969.
This is a Perthshire Advertiser image but no year indicated but estimated as at around 1960. The hand written text on the back reads as follows: ‘Workforce dig up the Christmas trees earmarked for kiddies parties. These trees are 6-7 years old.’
The workers can be named from left as follows:
