Forestry Commission Edge Tool Gauge
When this personal key ring metal edge tool gauge was acquired has been forgotten in the mists of time. It is possible that it may have been handed out at Benmore Forester Training School in the mid 1960s or in the early days of the 1970s when Tool Instructors visited various forests to give advice to forest squad members on tool sharpening. The stamped letters are difficlt to see but the tool names inscribed are:

Reaphooks
Slashers
Billhooks
Does anyone recall these gauges being issued or handed out?
