The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre formerly named David Marshall Lodge

The photographs are undated again but they do show that the front approach to the build has been significantly redesigned with special paving, steps and railings. This may have followed an extensive review and design consultant report in 1988 which apparently advocated a long list of potential changes some of which were acted upon.
The image in the PDF (link below text) shows some work in progress but perhaps this is the installation of a wood fuelled system (circa 2009) to supply much of the heating requirements for the visitor centre.
