David Marshall Lodge circa 1969
Images are courtesy of Moira Harkin of Visitor Services, The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre, Aberfoyle.
A view of the lodge about 1969 dated by dress styles but also by car registration suffix of the letter E. This would have been about the time of the 50th anniversary of the setting up of the Forestry Commission (1969) when there was an increased emphasis on providing more facilities for outdoor recreation within and around the forest and hill ground areas.
The building looks very much the same as it did on it opening in 1960 but obviously now selling snacks and other food products.
