Lifting plants in Tulliallan Nursery
The image is from a photograph collection that was originally stored at Kincardine Forest District office at Durris and may have been taken by Sandy Sandilands.
From the follow on images it is thought that this is Tulliallan Nursery as the Forth Estuary can be seen and also by the presence of the heavy duty pylon lines leading to Longannet Power Station. The year is estimated to be around 1981.
This is a close up of the lifting part of the Z & B plant lifter working its way through some larch transplants. The follow on images in the PDF show lifting of beech transplants and other trial work and a wider view of the nursery area landscape. Note that the trailer has a registration plate PSC393V.
Again any names of people and confirmation that this is Tulliallan Nursery would be welcome. Any comments on the Z & B lifter also welcome.
