Balfour Wood – management agreement with Birse Community Trust
The image is from a photograph collection that was originally stored at Kincardine Forest District.
This was a historic moment when a section of the Forestry Commission woodland in Kincardine known as Balfour Wood was signed over for administration by the Birse Community Trust. Part of the area of Balfour Wood was located in the Birse Parish and it was this that the agreement referred to. Any details would be very welcome.
