Association of Professional Foresters – National Forestry Machinery Demonstration is held every two years. The image is from a photograph collection that was originally stored at Kincardine Forest District.

There are no details about the machines other than some names. This period and previously saw the energetic burst of timber harvesting machine ideas with many different types of harvesting heads matched with both wheeled and tracked bases. Historically these were important stages in the evolution of mechanised harvesting.

A forwarder machine FC 65990 modified by the Forestry Commission in Wales to spray herbicides over uneven ground. The boom has adjustable height mechanisms and is fitted with ultra micro droplet spinning disc sprayers.

Can anyone confirm if this was originally a Bruunett forwarder?
