Newton Nursery workers 1936
The photographs are courtesy of Myra Younie, Clerical/Admin Officer at Laigh of Moray Forest and Moray Forest District, who maintained forestry photograph albums over several years.
This newspaper cutting does not show the paper title or year published but fortunately the photograph details are fairly comprehensive. It was sent in by Willie (Doods) McIntosh and features a posed image for the photographer of the nursery workers with their tea flasks.
The workers have been named from the left as follows:
Willie Grant
Unnamed?
Willie Sim
Alick McDonald
Unnamed at rear?
Bob Thomson
Dannie Younie
Doods McIntosh
Unnamed behind?
Andy Sim
Connie Smith
Sandy Rose
It is possible the Head Forester at that time was J A Lamb.
Any more details and names would be very welcome.
