Admin staff at original Moray Forest District with office at Newton
The photographs are courtesy of Myra Younie, Clerical/Admin Officer at Laigh of Moray Forest and Moray Forest District, who maintained forestry photograph albums over several years.
There is a bit of uncertainly over the timing of this photograph but could represent the period when the Forests as management units changed to Forest District management units. In this case around 1984 Laigh of Moray forest changed to Moray Forest District but with the office still located in Newton Nursery.
Myra Younie (on left back) and Leslie Hutcheson (in front) originally worked at the Newton office during its original role when the office was the base for Laigh of Moray Forest. Jackie Duncan may have started at Moray FD?
A little further down the time line in 1988 Speyside Forest District was amalgamated with Moray Forest District and the combined office located at Balnacoul along with the new Mechanical Engineering Workshops and Forest Signs Unit.
