Use of timber at a coal mine

The image is from a collection of slides and photographs ‘rescued from the skip’ and handed to Forestry Memories. Generally very little information with or about them and for details we will have to rely on readers’ memories or geographical knowledge.

A coal mine? The various sorts of timber products used are stacked up outside the mine beside the main line rail link. Note the narrow gauge boggie system. Round props, half rounds and sawn boards seen.

Anny comments and ideas of location welcome.
